MAKING INFINIBAND FABRICS MORE MANAGABLE
The SystemFabricRouter addresses the growing need for a router capable of interconnecting multiple separately managed subnets. Data centers have deployed InfiniBand in compute clusters, storage clusters and visualization clusters. Currently these critical and complex resources must either be connected as a single managed subnet or not connected at all. Forcing a large number of nodes into the same subnet especially when located in separate facilities or managed by separate departments makes them less stable and difficult to manage.
The SystemFabricRouter offers a cost effective means to route InfiniBand traffic between multiple subnets and supports multiple connections between to each subnet.
